OLEO'S STORY

Oleo's Story - Page 2

We fed him with an eyedropper for the first several days.

During this time Oleo literally lost his face. The flesh rotted off from just below his eyes to just above his nose. Not only the hair and skin fell away, but the flesh and sinew as well. The tendons that didn't rot away were visible. There was a hole in the top of his nozzle (above the nose) that he breathed through. The whole thing dripped pus and had to be cleaned before applying the poultice. It was a very unpleasant and smelly job.

The reward was that we began to see the muscles, tendons, skin, and hair grow back.

Just for fun, Ryan took Oleo to the vet months later to get their reaction. At first they didn't recognize him because he was 1) living, 2) healthy, and 3) growing. When Ryan convinced him that this was the wolf he had given-up on, he was amazed and brought his partners out to see. When asked about the rotted nozzle, two of them had no idea. A third vet, the oldest, finally admitted that he had seen similar reactions to antibiotics long ago. Our theory is that Oleo's body could not deal with the antibiotics because, as a pure wolf, his bloodlines had not been exposed to chemicals. The only way to purge the toxins was through the snout. For this, we mixed a formula Dr. Christopher used to re-grow limbs:

  • Indian Tobacco
  • Catnip
  • Black Cohash
  • Licorice Root

To this, we added Lavender oil and the sunflower/flaxseed/amaranth oil blend. After cleaning the puss from his snout, we spread this mixture on a damp rag, wrapped it around his snout, and used a muzzle to hold it in place.

Within two weeks we began applying the following YLEO floral waters:

  • Lavender - mouth and nose 2-3 times a day
  • Spearmint - mouth and nose 2-3 times a day
  • Melissa - fed two droppers AM & PM
  • Juniper - fed one dropper PM

In addition we used the following products as shown:

· Christmas Spirit - paws, AM & PM · Tangerine - paws and spine, AM & PM · Into the Future - ears, AM · Peppermint - paws and ears, AM · Trauma Life - paws and ears, AM · Clove - as needed to keep away maggits · Inner Child - as needed for flies · LavaDerm - spray on nose · UltraYoung - because his growth was slow in comparison to his siblings · Lavender - nose and paws, AM & PM (We used many bottles of Lavender-it was our main-stay.)

The summer of 1999 was spent working with Oleo 30 minutes to one hour every morning and evening. He had no skin at all on his snout-it was down to the bone from the area below his eyes to his black nose which hung by a thread. New skin and hair began to grow. It was so encouraging to see Oleo being brought back from death to the point where he is now a healthy, 90-pound wolf running around in a wooded, two-acre pen. He was a wild, scared little puppy and now he's got a great personality and wants to be petted and loved…I actually bonded to a wolf!! Thanks to Young Living Essential Oils he is alive and well.
